Restlessness

Restlessness.

As we begin to understand what it truly takes to grow—to be better, to do better—we often hit a wall.
It feels unfair.
It feels impossible.
It feels like too much.

We question our strength.
We question our resolve.
We question our worth.

We dip beneath the surface of our own confidence.

We grow quiet in these moments, but make no mistake—we are restless.

Restlessness doesn’t always settle — sometimes it just gets uncovered. Kicked up like dust on a drought-hardened day, it rises when you know what must be done, what needs confronting — but you’re unsure if doing it is truly right. Unsure if the words you’re holding, or the actions you feel compelled to take, will bring clarity or just more noise.

Restlessness doesn’t always go away.

Be still.

In the middle of the storm.
Jesus slept through it—and when they woke Him, He said: “Quiet. Be still.”
I think about that often when everything begins to overwhelm—
because the one in charge doesn’t panic.
The one in charge brings calm.
And reminds us: it’s still there, even when we’ve forgotten how to find it.
